My Books!...Book.

I am so anxious to share something beautiful!!  This is my first cover.  I plan to write many books in my career.  I know there will be many amazing covers to come, but this one...this first one is very special.

On it there is a beautiful horse, a pretty girl and a full moon.  The horse is reminiscent of my horse, the smart, classy lady who raced around every barrel with me.  The girl, seems to be a dreamer, a me of a million years ago.  The full moon.  This is especially wonderful.

My mom died years ago.  She never met my children, never saw me become the woman I am today.  She always knew, the way mothers know, that I would make my dreams come true.  I have, Mom.  I have.  I am married to my true love, I have a beautiful son and three gorgeous daughters who fill my days with pride and awe.  And I have written the first of many books that I get to share with--the world!  In a way the moon represents my mom.  When my children were tiny, they thought she lived on the moon and that even though she wasn't there to hold them and sing to them like many grandmas could, she was there on the moon to see them as they played and laughed and grew.  They thought she was magic, a Diana.

So when I look at this first of many covers, I am touched on so many levels.  Mom, thank you so much for for always believing in me and knowing that I would never give up.  And to all of you...thank you for pausing in your busy life and allowing me to share something that means so much to me.

All the Best,...dreams come true!

  1. As a mother, I know exactly how your own mother knew you would one day realize your dreams. I sense my own daughter will. I can see the talents God gave her developing stronger everyday and I completely trust she'll put them to good use.

About that cover, you should be very proud of it, Rionna. The night sky signifies an element of suspense. Our heroine is holding a rose in her hand, and one can't help but wonder who on earth that rose is for (more mystery!). And that strong horse signifies that our heroine is one tough woman about to meet her match. Look at the way she rides...one-handed and confidently. I can't help but think there's a bit of Rionna in the lady under the moon.
